Frankfurt/Darmstadt, January 8, 2026 – Following the great success of our parking management system for Condor , Book-n-Park received a highly interesting follow-up order: A digital access management system with reservation/booking functionality was to be installed for the airline crews' rest areas at Frankfurt Airport. We were pleased to fulfill this customer request; the Condor crews can now plan their rest periods and have digital access to the rest areas.
Aircraft crews, and especially pilots, require rest periods between flights. Rest areas within the airport's security zone are essential for this. Condor's rest areas at Frankfurt Airport lacked a reservation management system. Without digital administration, however, occupancy was uneven: problems due to peak times and overcrowding became frequent, often necessitating last-minute bookings of hotel rooms or rest areas belonging to other airlines. Furthermore, the handover and/or deposit of keys caused additional complications
Book-n-Park has installed a digital reservation management system and smart access control for Condor's rest areas: Pilots and crew can now book fixed time slots for rest areas on their smartphones and, if these are overbooked, can plan to use hotel rooms or other rest areas. Access to the rest areas is granted via e-tickets during the selected booking period. Room and rest time management runs automatically in the background. Note: Book-n-Park also provides similar room management solutions for Audi (Charging Hub Lounge) and the University and State Library of Darmstadt.
