Varied, innovative, expert:
The ATA conference at TU Darmstadt

From May 22nd until May 25th TU Darmstadt (Department 5) hosted this year's 54th ATA conference of the “Working Group of Technical Departments at Scientific Universities” - and it was a real highlight! A variety of highly informative lectures delighted the expert audience in attendance: sustainability, New Work, energy management, transformation research, building owner know-how and much more was on the program! The conference was made even more interesting by the multifaceted diversity of the guests: The ATA covers the entire roof area from Frankfurt to Freiburg, from Graz to Greifswald, from Dresden to Düsseldorf and from Berlin to Zurich - there was a colorful mix of experts and department heads Darmstadt as a guest. As supporters, we at Green Mobility Solutions presented our automatic parking bars 4.0 and the smart parking space management from Book-n-Park on site - and were pleased about the lively interest!

Mobility solutions for universities –
3 focal points from the discussions

  • The increasingly tricky parking situation at universities makes targeted access control necessary: reserving individual parking spaces for lecturers and employees is becoming increasingly relevant, especially since existing parking concepts often no longer guarantee safe parking spaces - our smart parking bar 4.0 met with great interest because it is robust and simple manageable and can also be used flexibly as a robust parking barrier without drilling.
  • The same applies to the challenges of the mobility transition: When it comes to reserving charging stations, our parking bars 4.0 are also available. - the problem of parked charging stations was all too well known to our conversation partners from everyday university life.
  • Sustainable parking space management is becoming increasingly important, especially when it comes to the use of available parking spaces - especially when it comes to the flexible use of parking garages that would otherwise be empty on weekends. Using the example of the Lichtwiesen parking garage at TU Darmstadt, we were able to present a functioning, low-maintenance solution to interested parties.
