One click on the Book-n-Park web app and access is granted: Whether automatic parking barriers, gates, or gates – the Darmstadt-based developers and providers of the digital parking management system Book-n-Park modern parking and access solutions with this "open sesame" on their smartphones . With Book-n-Park infrastructure, parking spaces, and access points can be managed, reserved, shared, and opened . Keys, cards, or chips become obsolete. The integrated payment function also allows for the optional temporary rental and billing of access points.
As a highlight at the trade fair in Wiesbaden, GMS will automatic license plate recognition . "License plate recognition makes it possible to register the license plates of regular users. Access then opens automatically. The full functionality of our web control system is retained," explains GMS co-managing director Michael Schaab.
More and more providers of modern infrastructure are relying on the flexibility of Book-n-Park: In Schleswig-Holstein, the NAH.SH program is initially creating around 25 Bike+Ride facilities, which, with secure bicycle storage and additional lockers, encourage a shift towards sustainable mobility. All access points are controlled by Book-n-Park. Furthermore, the car manufacturer Audi is integrating the control system and parking barriers into the expansion of its own charging hubs . This allows charging stations for electric cars to be reserved and kept available. Book-n-Park, with its automatic parking barriers, is also being used in municipal neighborhood parking and charging systems, as well as by car-sharing providers. "The parking barriers are battery-powered and allow for charging intervals of several years. Thanks to an integrated solar panel, they generally operate autonomously outdoors," says Mathias Hornjak, developer and managing director of Green Mobility Solutions GmbH. "Installation is simple; neither a foundation nor cables are required."
