Efficient corporate mobility management with unified administration: 9 locations with over 350 parking spaces - and Book-n-Park
Das Parkraummanagement der Stadt Kiel zu harmonisieren, war ein spannendes Projekt: 9 Standorte wurden auf denselben Stand gebracht, die jeweilige Hardware wurde zum Teil (mit Partnern wie Hörmann) neu aufgestellt, zum Teil zukunftssicher (und kostengünstig) aufgerüstet. Dazu zählen unsere ‚hauseigenen‘ smarten Schlösser, Schranken, Rolltore, Kameras zur Kennzeichenerfassung und vieles mehr. Die genaue Hardware variiert dabei bedarfsgerecht von Standort zu Standort (im Bild rechts der Bunkerparkplatz am Rathaus mit Schranke, Kamera und PinPad). Das komplette Zugangsmanagement läuft dabei DSGVO-konform über Book-n-Park als universelle SaaS-Plattform. Großer Wert wurde zudem auf flexible Skalierbarkeit gelegt, weitere Standorte können genauso implementiert werden wie z. B. E-Ladesäulen, Bike+Ride-Anlagen oder sogar verkehrsmittelübergreifende Mobilitätshubs.
At the heart of any corporate mobility management system are the employees: Book-n-Park's web app, compatible with any browser, allows employees of the City of Kiel to conveniently book parking spaces. At the same time, special reservations, such as for council meetings, can be made transparently for everyone. Book-n-Park offers a fair solution to the often contentious issue of parking space allocation.
We have listed important aspects of this project again below – In any case, we are delighted that we were able to implement such a sustainable mobility solution together with the state capital Kiel!
Unified administration of all locations
Managing all parking locations within a municipality in a unified system saves a significant amount of time and effort. Furthermore, it provides a complete overview of the parking situation. Special reservations, for example for visitors or council meetings, can be easily made.
Hardware tailored to the needs of every parking space
Whether it's a parking lot barrier or a parking garage gate: every location has different hardware requirements. All electromechanical access points can be controlled uniformly with Book-n-Park – we are also happy to retrofit existing barriers, gates, doors, etc.
Freely selectable access control
Kiel relies on access control via license plate recognition, but there are many options: QR codes, PIN pads, tokens/access chips or even control via the user's smartphone are just some of the possibilities – each municipality can choose its preferred solution.
Sustainability and fairness in the workplace
Secure parking spaces, fairly distributed and easily bookable – this is what benefits city employees using Book-n-Park's parking management system. And the environment benefits too: trips searching for parking are eliminated, and more efficient utilization can potentially prevent the need for new construction.
