Harmonizing the parking management of the city of Kiel was a real major project: 9 locations were brought up to date, the respective hardware was partially re -established (with partners like Hörmann), some of which were upgraded. This includes our 'in -house' smart locks, barriers, roller gates, cameras for license plate recording and much more. The exact hardware varies from location to location (in the picture on the right the bunker car park at the town hall with barrier, camera and pinpad). The complete access management runs through the GDPR-compliant via Book-N-Park as a universal SaaS platform. Great value was also placed on flexible scalability, other locations can be implemented as well as. B. E-charging stations, bike+Ride systems or even cross-transport mobility hubs.
In the heart of every operational mobility management, however, the employees are: The book-n-park, compatible for every browser, enables the city of Kiel to book parking times for employees. At the same time, special reservations, e.g. B. for council meetings. Book-N-Park offers a fair solution here when it comes to allocating parking space.
We have listed important aspects of this project again below-we are pleased that we were able to implement such a sustainable mobility solution together with the state capital Kiel!
Uniform management of all locations
To manage all parking locations of a municipality uniformly saves immensely time and effort. There is also a complete overview of the parking space situation. Special reservations, e.g. for visit or council meetings, can be easily made.
Hardware -based hardware for every parking lot
Whether parking space barrier or parking garage goal: Each location has different requirements for the required hardware. All electromechanical access can be controlled uniformly with Book-N-Park-we are also happy to equip old barriers, gates, doors, etc. ("retrofitting").
Freely selectable access control
Kiel relies on access release by license plate recognition, but there is a wide range of options: QR codes, pin pads, tokens/access chips or even control via the user's smartphone are just a few of the possibilities-each municipality can choose your preferred solution.
Sustainability and fairness in the company
Safe parking spaces, fairly distributed and conveniently bookable-urban employees benefit from the parking space management of Book-N-Park. And the climate also benefits: there is no parking space search for by looking for a parking space and the more efficient utilization may be avoided.
