Task: Local shop – charging stations at various locations should only be used by tenants. Integration into existing app and activation and legitimation by entering the rental agreement number.
Solution: Integration of Book-n-Park into the tenant app. Charging stations can now be booked and reserved, the parking spaces are kept free by our smart parking lot barriers. The lessee receives the invoice for the services used from the customer.
Promote the switch to electromobility

Task: In two densely populated residential areas, the charging of electric vehicles in the immediate living or working environment should be made possible exclusively for residents without a fixed parking space or their own garage as well as tradespeople.
Solution: Book-n-Park is integrated into the existing neighborhood app and the charging stations are secured with smart parking barriers . Registered users can use their smartphones to check charging stations, reserve them, drive there and charge them in a relaxed manner.

Parking space management is an important aspect of effectively managing and using parking spaces to improve parking space availability and accessibility while reducing traffic congestion. Solution: Management of company parking spaces via Book-n-Park. In addition to the long-term parkers, all of the 600 employees can now reserve a free parking space from the parking pool as needed.

Parking space sharing

Task: Guests and training participants should use designated parking spaces, which are to be protected from unauthorized use. Joint reservation and management of parking spaces by various specialist departments. Integration into existing API interface.
Solution : The parking spaces were equipped with smart parking barriers and the specialist departments were given appropriate authorizations to manage and control the reservations via Book-n-Park.

Organize mobility hubs
Park. Load. Lend. Split.
A mobility hub is a place where different means of transport and services come together. Here people come together with different means of transport, can switch to others, share them (sharing) or shop, but also use various services. For example, anyone who comes by e-bike and switches to the tram needs a secure bike box in which the bike can be loaded and equipment such as a helmet, rain gear, etc. can be stored. Purchases, packages or goods can be delivered by (local) traders. Ideally, everything can be booked and reserved via a central system.
Expanded without loss of functionality
Customer: Technical University of Darmstadt
Industry: Universities and colleges
Task: In addition to the existing management of parking spaces and bicycle boxes by Book-n-Park, barrier systems, roller shutters and access doors in the TU car parks were to be integrated into the system.
Solution : The barrier systems were expanded with GMS technology without any loss of function, as were the blinds. Doors were fitted with electromechanical locks and made controllable. Authorized parkers can now operate all devices centrally with their smartphones with just one booking.
Share service bikes

Task: In addition to the management of the parking spaces, bicycle boxes for the safe storage of company bicycles at different locations should also be made accessible to a different group of people.
Solution : We retrofitted the selected bicycle boxes with an electromechanical locking system and integrated them into Book-n-Park. All authorized persons can now easily reserve and use the bicycles, the bicycle boxes are opened with the smartphone.

DELTA - a project of the "Real Laboratories of the Energy Transition" initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection
The Darmstadt Energy Laboratory for Applied Technologies ( DELTA) acts as a showcase for the urban energy transition to demonstrate interacting, energy- optimized districts . The DELTA real laboratory is intended to demonstrate that the technically proven potential for increasing energy efficiency and flexibility in urban districts can be implemented economically and is also socially accepted.
In the sub-project "Resource Conservation through Urban Sharing Models" Green Mobility Solutions (GMS) develops and researches energy-efficient, far-reaching, strong IoT communication protocols for long-term control of actuators in urban environments. For simple and integrative use, a flexible administration of usage scenarios in the mobility hubs in terms of time, location and user groups is being developed. This enables resources such as bicycles, parking spaces or delivery boxes to be shared. This is intended to make switching from cars to bicycles, e-bikes and local public transport more attractive for employees and citizens.
The Darmstadt Energy Laboratory is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection with 100 million euros.
