Solution: Integration of Book-n-Park into the tenant app. Charging stations can now be booked and reserved, and parking spaces are kept clear via our smart parking barriers. The tenant receives the invoice for the services used from the customer.

Task: In two densely populated residential areas, the charging of electric vehicles in the immediate living or working environment should be made possible exclusively for residents without a fixed parking space or their own garage, as well as for business owners.
Solution: Book-n-Park will be integrated into the existing neighborhood app, and the charging stations will be secured with smart parking barriers . Registered users can check charging stations on their smartphones, reserve a spot, drive up, and charge their vehicles with ease.

Aufgabe: Gäste und Schulungsteilnehmer sollen ausgewiesene Parkplätze nutzen, diese sind vor Fremdnutzung zu schützen. Gemeinsame Reservierung und Verwaltung der Parkplätze durch verschiedene Fachabteilungen. Integration in bestehende API-Schnittstelle.
Lösung: Die Parkplätze wurden mit smarten Parkplatzsperrbügeln ausgestattet und die Fachabteilungen erhielten über Book-n-Park entsprechende Berechtigungen zum Verwalten und Steuern der Reservierungen.
Extra: Alle Parkbügel haben das Branding der „Telekom“ erhalten.
Organize mobility hubs

A mobility hub is a place where different modes of transport and services converge. Here, people using various modes of transport meet, can transfer to other vehicles, share them (sharing), charge them, and also access various services. For example, someone arriving by e-bike and transferring to the tram needs a secure bicycle box where the bike can be charged and equipment such as a helmet, rain gear, etc., can be stored. Groceries, packages, or goods can be delivered by (local) businesses. Ideally, everything can be booked and reserved via a central system.
Extended without loss of function
Client: Technical University of Darmstadt

Task: In addition to the existing management of parking spaces and bicycle boxes by Book-n-Park, barrier systems, roller doors and access doors in the TU parking garages should be integrated into the system.
Solution : The barrier systems were upgraded with GMS technology without any loss of functionality, as were the roller shutters. Doors were fitted with electromechanical locks and made controllable. Authorized parkers can now operate all devices centrally via smartphone with just one booking.

Task: In addition to managing parking spaces, bicycle boxes should also be made accessible to a different group of people at various locations for the secure storage of company bicycles.
Solution : We retrofitted the selected bicycle boxes with an electromechanical locking system and integrated them into Book-n-Park. All authorized users can now easily reserve and use the bicycles; the bicycle boxes are opened using a smartphone.

The Darmstadt Energy Laboratory for Technologies in Application , , energy-optimized neighborhoods. The DELTA real-world laboratory aims to demonstrate that the technically proven potential for increasing the energy efficiency and flexibility of urban neighborhoods is economically feasible and socially acceptable.
In the sub-project "Resource Conservation through Urban Sharing Models," Green Mobility Solutions (GMS) is developing and researching energy-efficient, long-range IoT communication protocols for the long-term control of actuators in urban environments. To facilitate simple and inclusive use, a flexible, time-based, location-based, and user-group-specific management system for usage scenarios is being developed for mobility hubs. This enables the shared use of resources such as bicycles, parking spaces, and delivery boxes. The aim is to make switching from cars to bicycles, e-bikes, and public transport more attractive for employees and residents.
